Privacy policy

Updated 4 November 2026. Covers the Loop YouTube Chrome extension and this website, oneclickloop.com.

The extension

The extension collects nothing and sends nothing anywhere. It has no analytics, no account and no servers.

This website

We use PostHog (EU cloud, Frankfurt) to count a few anonymous events:

If you fill in the goodbye form, your chosen reason and your optional comment are sent the same way. We try to remove email addresses and phone numbers from the comment before it is sent, but please don't put names, contact details or links in it.

With each event PostHog also records what any website sees: browser, operating system, device type, screen size and language. Your IP address is used only to make a daily anonymous code, so that two events from the same browser on the same day count as one visitor; it is then discarded. It is not stored and we don't work out your location from it.

We set no cookies and store nothing in your browser, so these counts cannot recognise you on a later visit. We never send the videos you loop, their links or titles. There are no session recordings or heatmaps, no tracking of clicks other than the store link above, and no ads.

The looper and YouTube

The looper on the home page plays videos in YouTube's embedded player, in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). Nothing from YouTube loads until you press Loop. The player is YouTube's: when you play a video, YouTube receives your request and may store data in your browser under its own rules. See Google's privacy policy. The video's id appears after the # in this page's address so you can share the loop; browsers never send that part to a server.

Hosting

The site is hosted by Netlify, which processes your IP address to serve the pages and keeps short-lived server logs for security and operations. We do not use those logs to track anyone.
